Dissertation in Practice Award Committee
The Dissertation in Practice (DiP) of the Year Award Committee is comprised of a group of CPED faculty members who work collaboratively over the course of an award cycle receive and review DiP submissions from member institution graduates and select an annual award winner(s) that offers an exemplar of the CPED definition of Dissertation in Practice. The Award process is both a means to honor exemplars from member institutions and a means to learn about the changes to dissertations that strengthen, improve, support, and promote the CPED framework through continued collaboration and investigation.

Program of the Year Award Committee
The Program of the Year Award Committee (PoY) is comprised of a group of CPED faculty members who work collaboratively over the course of a yearly award cycle to select an annual award winner(s) that is an exemplar of a CPED-influenced EdD Program. The award process will honor member institutions that have used the CPED framework to strengthen, improve, support and strengthen their program, investigate their work, and distinguish their EdD.

CPED Membership Committee
The CPED Membership Committee, a permanent committee of the Board of Directors, is charged with proposing criteria for Institutional Member eligibility; recommending Institutional Member candidates for approval by the Board; and recommending for Board action, as appropriate, the removal of any Institutional Member that fails to timely remedy a lapse in good standing. The Membership Committee consists of three (3) Directors approved by a majority vote of the Board upon the recommendation of the Nominations Committee; three (3) Deans Council members elected from among the members of that body; and three (3) Delegates Council members elected from among the members of that body. Each Committee member is to be elected for a term of three (3) years or until the end of his or her current term on the Board or Deans Council, as appropriate. Pursuant to Bylaws, a Delegates Council member has a term that extends until his/her successor has been designated; however, at the discretion of the Board, any Membership Committee member may be assigned a shorter term to stagger the terms of members.

CPED Improvement Groups (CIGs)
CPED Improvement Groups (CIGs) are groups of members who share a common interest in specific topics, contexts, or components of EdD program design and who want to learn about and develop strategies for improving best practices. Such learning and improvement will support the CPED mission “to strengthen, improve, support and promote the CPED framework through continued collaboration and investigation.” Learn more about our CIGS here.
