Univ of Louisville's Ed.D. capstones on NPR
The University of Louisville's CPED team is proud to share the following 3 part news story about three practicing Jefferson County Public School (Louisville, KY) that administrators collaborated on a capstone to earn their Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development from the University of Louisville. Their capstone challenged Project Proficiency's (the district’s response for turning around student achievement in its persistently low-achieving (PLA) schools, according to the No Child Left Behind Act) assumed success by looking at student math scores from the 2010-2011 school year and comparing those scores with control groups. All three segments can be read or listened to here.
The work of the CPED consortium constitutes "Work in Progress" however, it is still work that belongs to colleagues and member institutions of the consortium.
