UK: EdD in Higher Ed with focus on Community & Technical Colleges

Purpose/Goals:

develop a practice-oriented professional degree for teacher leaders, teacher educators, and P-12 principals

Key Characteristics:

- Dual institutional effort to address P-20 policy challenge in Kentucky
- 3 depts in each institution
- UK-hybrid delivery design following executive doctorate program, applied orientation, modular approach
|

Student profile:
|
- UK Administrators & faculty from Kentucky Community and Technical College system (KCTCS)
- Cohort group- UK 2007 cohort of 28 admitted students; 23 currently enrolled rom 12 campuses and central administration
- All participants have full support of their supervisors that participation in EdD program is assigned as part of workload.
