- Should adopt the mindset that research is integral to all other courses
- Not concerned with being entirely quantitative or qualitative but open to mixed methods
- Need to ask - do problems exist in the entire organization or more at the classroom level? This will inform research
Need for:
- Informative assessment
- Student engaged formative assessment
- Teacher assessment
- Assumption that EdD leaders who do research are all at the leadership level; do they truly hold the characteristics of a leader?
- What do practitioners need to know - do they need all of these research methods skills? What are the antecedents to this assumption?
